For sustainable fish and shrimp culture, good quality pond bottom management is very crucial. The survival and good growth of fish and shrimp depend mainly on clean pond bottom conditions and the quality of water. Due to various factors, only 60 to 85 % of total feed is available for consumption to fish and shrimp and the remaining 15 to 40 % gets accumulated in the pond bottom. This accumulated feed contains a lot of proteins and other organic substances, which get added to the organic sludge. During this process, harmful gases like ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and nitrites are produced in the pond.
Accumulation of leftover feed and other organic sludge in the pond bottom results in the spread and development of various bacterial, viral and fungal infections. This leads to stress on shrimp and fish, which finally reduces their growth and survival, resulting in decreased production and lower profitability. It is proved that the bioremediation process reduces the production of harmful gases and enhances pond bottom cleanliness. Considering the beneficial effects of bioremediation, ZERO SLUDGE™ is developed by Karyotica Biologicals to take care of the above problems.
Composition:Consortium of microbes, probiotics, enzymes, herbals & microbial immobilizers.
Form : Liquid(L) /Granule(G)
Dosage : 5 to 6 kg per acre during pond preparation before stocking and 1 kg per acre once in 11 days during culture from the 30th day
ZERO SLUDGE-L™
During pond preparation : Fill the pond at least with a 2ft deep water column and broadcast ZERO SLUDGE-L™ uniformly over the pond after mixing with a sufficient quantity of water or sand.
During the culture period : broadcast ZERO SLUDGE-L™ uniformly over the pond after mixing with a sufficient quantity of water or sand.
ZERO SLUDGE -G™
Broadcast ZERO SLUDGE-G™ uniformly over the pond to let the granules settle down at the pond bottom or as advised by the Aqua Technician.
