More milk, more milk fat and healthy animals at the lowest possible cost is the key to the success of dairy farmers. Normally, the milk yield is negatively correlated with milk fat and milk protein percent. However by promoting effective digestion of feed through enzymes and prebiotics, we have proved that more milk yield along with more milk fat is possible. Our products help the farmer to achieve higher milk yield along with higher milk fat percentage while ensuring animal health to make dairy farming more profitable activity.
Enzymes are naturally occurring macromolecular biocatalysts produced by living cells to bring about specific biochemical reactions. In the context of feed additives for ruminants, enzymes are employed to catalyze the degradative reactions by which substrates (i.e., feedstuffs) are digested into their chemical components (e.g., simple sugars, amino acids and fatty acids). These are in turn used for cell growth, either by ruminal microorganisms or by the host animal.
KARYOLACT™ is high quality water soluble multi-activity feed enzyme formulated specifically for cattle. It contains a carefully chosen mixture of cellulose, hemicellulase, xylanase, alpha-amylase, pectinase, protease, lipase, mannanase and phytase. The enzymes have a wide pH range, excellent water solubility, long-term stability and high levels of enzyme activity enabling KARYOLACT™ to be successfully effective under wide ranging conditions around the world.

Taking into consideration, the increasing cost of animal feed and the decreasing income from milk, dairy farming will not be a profitable venture unless there is a substantial increase in milk production per animal. This can be achieved through the complete digestion of feed taken and the integration of digested feed into the animal body. This can be achieved through the supplementation of enzymes in feed. Normally, all kinds of enzymes are not synthesized by microbes in animals which are required for the digestion of all kinds of feed and that will ultimately affect the yield.
With external supplementation of the enzymes, the feed is fully digested and all the essential elements are available to the animals for good health and increased milk production. This also results in fast digestion which ultimately results in higher feed intake.
Milking animals also need various minerals such as calcium, magnesium and phosphorous for good health and increased quantity and quality of milk being produced. The availability of these minerals in the feed depends on the type of feed and fodder. All these minerals are not sufficiently available in the feeds given to the animals. Hence, the supply of these minerals through external supplements is necessary for the good health of the animals, for increased milk production and to fulfill the daily requirement of minerals for active metabolism.
The average mineral requirement of all kinds of animals is shown in the table. In case of deficiency of minerals due to insufficient feed or low quality feed the availability of minerals is reduced resulting in metabolic diseases like mastitis etc.
Minerals | Mineral daily requirements g/day | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Animal weighing 500kg | Growing young animals | Conceived animals | Cow yielding 6 lit. milk per day | Buffalo | |
Calcium | 23 | 8-17 | 10 | 9 | 27 |
Phosphorus | 10 | 6-9 | 6 | 11 | 11 |
Magnesium | 9 | 0.5 | 0.33 | 4 | 8 |
The requirement for calcium is very high during the early stages of calving while lactating cows and buffaloes need more minerals than normal animals. In addition to the requirement mentioned above, animals also need micronutrients in small quantities and other vitamins like B12 and D3. It is also proved that products made from plant extract like “Shatavari” (Asparagus racemosus) and Jeevanthi” (Leptadenia reticulata) help in improving the general health of cows and buffaloes.
Considering all the above aspects and keeping in view the requirement of enzymes by animals, a scientific study has been done by our company which resulted in the development of ASLICAL C™, ASLICAL FORTE™ and ASLICAL GOLD™ as the feed supplements for dairy cattle and other animals that essentially contains a balanced proportion of minerals, vitamins, herbal extract and enzymes that aid the complete digestion of all kind of feed and helps to increase the milking yield in bovine. All these three supplements differ in their composition and they are formulated depending upon the nature of feed given to animals.
The components of ASLICAL™ also help cattle in their active metabolism, rapid growth and enhancing immunity. The field results from usage of three variants of ASLICAL have shown increased milk production and enhancement in the quality of milk in terms of Fat and SNF with good health in cows and buffaloes.
